WARRANTY TERMS

Shorai offers a Limited, Pro-Rated Five-Year Warranty for Shorai batteries, for defects in material and/or workmanship, pertaining to sales originating and delivered within the Continental United States.

Shorai warranty support for our Canadian customers is now being handled directly by our Canadian distributor, Kimpex.

We ask that our international customers contact your local Shorai dealer to assist in any warranty questions or issues. Shorai Service LLC is unable to support International warranty claims at this time. If you need technical support, we would be happy to answer any questions.

The warranty is divided into three periods from date of purchase within the USA, as follows:

  • Months 1-13 - 100% replacement including free shipping
  • Months 14-18 - 65% discount including free shipping
  • Months 19-60 - 50% discount including free shipping
Month 1~13 14~18  19~60
Discount from MSRP 100% 65%  50%

note: warranty updated June 1 2024 to increase months 13~18 to 65% discount from 50%

Shorai offers a limited replacement warranty on previously replaced batteries for the remainder of the original battery warranty.

  • A second replacement battery may qualify for 50% discount after testing and approval.
    • The customer is responsible for all shipping to send battery back for testing. If your battery tests good, Shorai will ship battery back at customer expense. If battery tests bad, customer will get 50% off replacement with free shipping.

If you are asked to return your battery for testing, or as part of the warranty replacement, please carefully tape up the battery terminals and pack the battery in the original gift box and packaging materials if possible.  Be sure the box is sufficiently strong and the battery is protected from impact damage.  The battery MUST be double boxed. Include your Name, Address, Cell# and Email Address inside the box.  Write your RMA number on the outside of the box, next to the shipping label. Take the battery to UPS or FedEx, where they can supply the appropriate HazMat shipping labels. You cannot return Shorai Batteries via USPS.
