Double Podium for the Royal Distributing Fox KTM Racing Team in Calgary!
The latest report from the Shorai sponsored KTM Canada Factory Team:
It was yet again, another successful weekend for the Royal Distributing Fox KTM Racing Team at the 3rd round of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals at Wildrose MX Park in Calgary, Alberta. The weather seemed to hold up just long enough for the racing to get underway. The Motocross gods were upon us as it seemed to rain everywhere except the track. Kaven Benoit finished 2nd overall holding onto the coveted points lead and Tyler Medaglia makes strides yet again with a solid 3rd place MX1 podium finish!
Kaven Benoit finished 2nd in the first moto of the MX2 class in Calgary. In moto 2 Benoit was about 10th and managed to work his way into the number 3 position. Kaven was consistent all day and finished 2nd overall. Kaven has a firm grasp of the red plate with a 19 point lead over second place going into Regina for the 4th round of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals. “The track was the best I’ve experienced in 3 years, it was a little cold, but the track was moist”, says Benoit. Kaven Benoit is looking forward to Regina as it a new location for most riders.
Tyler Medaglia earned a solid 3rd overall going 4-3 in a very stacked field. Wildrose MX Park marks Tyler’s best result thus far, as he has consistently improved each weekend since the opening round of the series. In Moto 1 Tyler locked into the 3rd position succumbing to a mild tip over due to a rock, which put him in 4th, where he would finish. Moto 2 it was none other than Royal Distributing Fox KTM rider Tyler Medaglia with the holeshot. Tyler rode consistently in moto 2 and earned a podium position with a 3rd place finish! “In Moto 2 my start was perfect, my Dunlop MX52’s hooked up and I was gone”, says Tyler.
