KTM Red Bull Royal Distributing Fox Team looking for a strong finish at Walton

KTM Red Bull Royal Distributing Fox Team looking for a strong finish at Walton The KTM Red Bull Royal Distributing Fox Team is prepped to finish the season on a high note at Walton. With Cole Thompson pumped to race at his home track, Tyler Medaglia battling for a series podium and American import Jesse Wentland chasing an overall win, the stage is set for a strong finish for KT.

"We have a healthy Tyler battling for a podium position," explains KTM National Race Marketing Manager Andy White. "Unfortunately it's with his brother. They are one point apart going into Walton so things are sure to get a little intense. Bobby Kiniry is 34 points ahead in second and as we've seen this season, anything can happen. Tyler is definitely looking forward to a third place finish-or possibly even a second-as the series wraps up."

Adding to the excitement in the MX1 class is Brigden, Ontario native Cole Thompson. The Ontario-raised amateur has turned more laps on the Walton circuit than any other and is looking for another MX1 win at the final round. "He's looking to get on the podium at Walton."

After a strong showing at both Gopher Dunes and Sand Del Lee, Jesse Wentland makes his return to the MX2 class at Walton. "The goal for him is to get an overall," explains White.

"He was very close at previous rounds. He has the speed and he knows what he needs to do. He's just had some bad luck. He's looking to put it all together at Walton and finish off his Canadian racing experience with some solid results."

Three-time Canadian Champ Colton Facciotti-who is currently recovering from injuries suffered at Round 2 of the series-will be in the house signing autographs. Five-time Canadian Champ Jean-Sebastien Roy will also be on site most of the week, watching amateur racing and handing out the KTM Amateur Contingency cheques at Saturday's Trans Can awards ceremony.

"We're hoping to finish off with some podiums and maybe some overalls," said White. "It's been a challenging season but we're looking to build on our successes and return to action in 2014."
