Shorai Sponsored Brough Superior Moto2 GP bike To Race This Weekend
Las Vegas, NV
Issued by - TaylorMade Racing
Shawn Higbee will race the Shorai Sponsored Brough Superior Moto2 GP bike this weekend at the Wera West Las Vegas event.
He will ride the bike in the Friday practice to work on the setup and test a couple variations of Dunlop slicks. The Las Vegas weekend is a double header so there will be F1 races on both Saturday and Sunday.
The TaylorMade race team principal Paul Taylor said , " It's going to be exciting to see the bike in its first competition after years of conceptualizing, designing and building the carbon monocoque chassis from the ground up. We have done a fair bit of testing and development. The whole package is quite mature now after a few design revisions and spending significant time tuning the chassis stiffness."
Development rider and racer Shawn Higbee comments on the upcoming weekend, "Racing the Brough Superior GP bike at Vegas is something I've been looking forward too for a long time. There is no better validation test than race competition ."
Participating in the premier F1 class at the Wera West Las Vegas event is another step toward the final goal of having the Brough Superior Moto2 bike fielded at a US Grand Prix event in 2014.
